Two ears and one mouth
We were taught in our youth that we have two ears and one mouth for a reason: you should listen more than you talk. Although the physiology behind that assertion is unconfirmed, it is good advice. It's always helpful to remember that we can usually help people more by listening than by talking. Like every act of kindness, it's less about our talent and more about our willingness to serve. It may be simple to listen, but that doesn't mean it's easy... even with two ears. This week, let's go out and help the world by endeavoring to pay more attention to others than ourselves.
