The joy of being useful. Ohio is the only state in the USA with a name that doesn't have any letters from the word "mackerel" in it. That bit of trivia is kind of interesting, but also completely useless. It may cause you to say, "huh!" or furrow your brow, or slightly exhale from your nose. But no one will feel unmitigated joy when they read that. It's impossible to be useless and spark joy. What creates joy? Helping, giving, finding relationships, and a thousand other actions that make our world better and brighter. This week let's create joy by helping those around us. There is delight and triumph to be found in simply being useful.
