5 Ways To Be The Person You Want To Be

Why do we do this each week? Why do we set out Simple Helps for ourselves to complete and make the world a better place? It's not necessarily because we are deciding to do what we want to do. It's because we are deciding to be the people we want to be. The way to get there -- to become the person we want to be -- is to do the next right thing. As we do that, we will slowly find helping people becomes a pleasure. Deep down, we want to be good. All we need to achieve it is the decision to do good.

  • Tuesday - Park in a space farthest away so that someone else can have a closer, more convenient spot.

  • Wednesday - Designate your favorite charity to receive .5% of what you spend on smile.amazon.com.

  • Thursday - Compliment others. (Example: “I like your shirt.” No need to make this one complicated.)

  • Friday - Buy an inexpensive umbrella to put in your car for someone in case they're having a (literally) rainy day.
