5 Ways to Give Back

Give till it hurts

We've all heard this phrase before about how much we should give. It's a good sentiment, but it's not the most accessible onramp towards giving. There are a lot of steps towards "giving till it hurts" that are also very good! Giving someone a measure of respect, or time, or kindness... those can change lives, and they usually don't hurt a bit! This we week, let's give what we can, when we can. It doesn't even have to hurt. In fact, you'll probably find that giving feels pretty great.

  • Wednesday - Before bed tonight, think about a good thing you witnessed someone doing today and tomorrow let that person know that you noticed their effort.

  • Thursday - Write a long overdue thank you email.

  • Friday - Buy a cup of coffee or soft drink for someone.
