We're better than this.
Have you ever watched the news or listened to the radio and thought, "We're better than this"? Good! The fact that we know it means it's true. If we feel like there aren't problems in the world, it means we've lost sight of the goal. Knowing we can do better shouldn't be a source of discouragement; it is a well-spring of hope! The desire to make the world better still lives in all of us. This week, let's remember "we're better than this" and let's be better than this! We can be the change we want to see.
- You can reference Simple Help using "@gohelpsomebody" on FB, Twitter or Instagram.
- Add the hashtag "#simplehelp" to any related post on social media. Use it, and the whole tribe of helpers can easily see ways we are making a difference!
For the week of April 22 - April 26
Actions: The Simple Helps to remember
Monday - Text a friend or loved one a photo of something that reminds you of them.
Tuesday - Write “Thank you for collecting our trash!” on the outside of an envelope, put $5 inside, and tape it to your garbage can for the trash collector.
Wednesday - Tell someone you love that you are proud of them.
Thursday - Find out when your friend or co-worker’s kid has a game or recital, put it on your calendar, and plan to go (or after the event ask how it went).
Friday - Check out One Simple Wish and ask a friend or two to join you in giving a bit of happiness to a kid impacted by abuse and neglect.
Be awesome. Make someone's day. Join the rest of us this week and go help somebody!
