5 Ways to Build Positive Momentum

The New Year continues! Everybody has heard the stats on New Year's resolutions. They're usually made up by people helpfully pointing out why they think genuine change is impossible. "98% of people who start exercising on January 1 will give up and decide to eat cupcakes exclusively by January 2." We've all heard it, and most of us have felt it at one time or another. Positive change is difficult. But even if it is difficult, it can be simple! Let's build momentum this year by choosing to do the simple (but not always easy) act of helping those around us each day this week.

 Don't Forget:

- You can reference Simple Help using "@gohelpsomebody" on FB, Twitter or Instagram.

- Add the hashtag "#simplehelp" to any related post on social media. Use it, and the whole tribe of helpers can easily see ways we are making a difference!

For the week of January 14 - January 18

Actions: The Simple Helps to remember

  • Monday -  Don’t nag anyone about anything today.

  • Tuesday -  Make a list of people you’re exceptionally thankful for and share it, on social media for example.

  • Wednesday - Learn something new and share your newfound insights with a friend. You can start here.

  • Thursday - Brag on someone else’s accomplishments.

  • Friday -  Go through photos on your phone and send a favorite or two with an encouraging text.  - Suggested by Bonnie Gamble
