Tonight, October 4, 2017, is the first gathering of "A Community Conversation." It comes on the heels of a weekend that showered Joel and me with encouragement and blessing. It came in all forms: what you said, what you wrote, how you hugged us, and the zillion ways you offered to help with our new ministry adventure. THANK YOU so much!!
One card was quite unique. Gabrielle wrote "Thank you Pastor Joel" and then she drew a beautiful empty frame. I'm not sure what her intended message was, but the one I got made my day! That beautiful frame, that took time to design, prepared an inviting space for what is yet to be. Maybe thank yous don't have to be limited to that which has been accomplished. I'm learning that some of the best thank yous just might be the ones that provide an inviting space to do something more.
Joel and I hope you will join us as we start to fill in new space with a Wednesday evening Bible study on the Book of Luke, followed by Q & A/conversation. From 7 - 9 PM, beginning this Wednesday, we'll be at the Venue on the Lake aka Maitland Civic Center, 641 Maitland Ave S, Maitland, FL 32751. If you can't make it, you can always watch online, as it will be livestreamed on Facebook and archived on YouTube.
"He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what He has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord." - Psalm 40:3 (NLT)
